Description

Locally called sardines, these fish run in schools and can be caught on anything shiny. They range in size from fingerlength to about 24 inches and the schools tend to be all of a similar size. Note the very orange fin tips which can sometimes be redder. The scales are also a bit rainbowy in the sun, which this picture doesn't really give justice. They are a good eating fish if they're big enough.
