16 April 2016
Ray Roberts Lake State Park - Johnson
Valley View, Cooke County, Texas

In a field astride the park's main road covered by blooming wildflowers and spring-green grasses attracting dozens of butterflies and other flying pollinators, we observed for the first time several plants of Field Pennycress. This wildlfower is known by the additional common name of Poor Man's Pepper. This is an introduced species to the Western Hemisphere and is found throughout North America.
