Description

@aaronliston - I know there was some confusion last time I attempted to post loanus - I’ve tried to include lots of photos of several individuals in this PJ treatment area. I found an individual with 7 leaflets again, but this was definitely an exception in this cluster. Every leaf I grabbed that isn’t in silica has had the hairs attached like in the last photo (hoping it comes through - hard to take phone pictures through a scope). Barneby’s description of hairs attached “just above the base” or something to that effect makes more sense to me than Welsh’s phrasing “incipiently malpighian” - I am also adding a photo from that 7-leaflet plant I posted last year to that observation and I will have a similar photo of a welshii leaf from today I’ll post.
