This is an example of a protosome. The Trigoniulus corallinus is commonly known as the rusty millipede or Asian millipede. It has a medium-large sized tube-like body. It has a vibrant red color pattern with segmented dark lines throughout the whole body. Its body is covered in tiny red legs making it easily mistaken for a centipede. They are an introduced species in Florida and they are originally from Malaysia, India, China, and Indonesia region, however, they are also found in the Caribbean. These species inhabit moist areas where the decomposing matter is present. They are mostly found in the soil and near rock walls; their main source of food is decomposing matter and dead leaves.
