Cow grazing on grass in a wastewater sewage treatment field. Picture turned upside down :)
I loved how its exoskeleton was on the other side of the leaf. As though it were looking at its past self in the mirror.
Looking at the moon!
Mutation? Bacterial cause? ?
So many cool spiders here in Toccoa, Georgia!!

Two common slowworms found near my dorm. We’re released after pictures were taken. No harm was done to these common slowworms while in the shoe box.
Camouflaged on the bark of the tree. Circled in blue in the second photo
Bald eagle handling its catch in midair over Lake Clark shortly before sunset.
Nymph Stagmomantis limbata mantids hatching from ootheca.
Photo taken of same flower from 15 May to 29 May
Phenology
Found this near a hiking path. I presume it’s a deer.
On wood anemone flowers
This little guy was wandering on a sidewalk. He was placed safely off the path.
Ran behind a fence; it was wild.

hiding out on Tulipwood
Date nest found, underneath a willow shrub, very well camouflaged. Fate of the nest: success! :) (but it was a while later)
I've posted photos of this Screech Owl before but today, she really outdid herself with her daytime camouflage. She has wedged herself between a stick and an oak limb. But she forgot about her little ear tuft, which is in the sun! She has three(3) about-to-fledge owlets in a nest box about ten feet away. (Hays County)
Hard to see, I only noticed this master of camouflage when I was taking a macro photo of something else and it moved!
Male perched on a branch of its color, for camouflage.
I was amazed by the camouflage to look like the end of a broken stick. When I first saw it land from a distance, I had a hard time finding it upon closer examination of the area.
Invisible, thanks to supreme camouflage.
I only noticed this because it moved. It was very effectively camouflaged in the sand.
Please Help ID this Praying Mantis.
Found at an elevation of about 900m.

Not sure if this was a saguaro with no limbs or a very large barrel cactus.
Animated GIF showing leg movement.
I took a simple piece of tape, applied it to my forehead, removed it and placed it under a microscope. On the end of one of my hairs was this nice arachnid. First time trying it and it took under a minute to find it. I was very surprised!
