10,000 observations

many thanks to all of you
10,000 observations and counting....

documentation of Hong Kong's moth species is improving with such gracious contributions.
2016 has been a fascinating year - lots of species recorded in HK for the first time, and others that have been seen rarely have had a good year, too.

more on this post later to fill in some details.....

The Moths of Hong Kong website returns

The Moths of Hong Kong website has returned, with a new URL, following a three year absence.
It can be found at http://hkmoths.ihostfull.com/
There are all the old indices to families and some of the subfamilies, plus an updated references page (updates ongoing) and some new pages (e.g. Noctuinae and Plusiinae). In due course I'll get most of the main index pages operational, so that an approximately "complete" coverage of the HK moth fauna can be seen on the site. Eventually I'll start getting species pages operational (as per the Apha kantonensis page), though this takes ages to do and my priority is completing the moth book first.
