Description

Another small mystery. This succulent plant spreads in early spring, often on ground defoliated for weed control. It's so small it almost looks like a reddish lichen before it grows out a bit.

Description

A local neighbor knocked a branch off his plant parking his pickup; it laid on the ground months before I picked it up and planted it... I've also had leaves fall off and lie on the ground for the summer before they produce fruit months after being detached: a fantastic plant.

The flower is from last July.

While exploring Dr. Shribbs garden, i saw this plant that looked like a broccoli. It's a vegetable that can contain broccolli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts. I chose this because even though I hadn't noticed it, it fascinated me that it did look edible.
