ophiuchus's Identifications

Okay, first off, this photo is for record-keeping, and possibly entertainment, purposes only. The ID is based on better looks through binoculars, the owl's call, and its overall size. Please see my other records before judging my competency in photography...actually, on second thought, maybe not.

(Also, I intentionally made the locality circle large, to account for the fact that this owl travels between this redwood, in the Santa Cruz County Jail parking lot, and a Redwood in my back yard, a distance of app. 200 meters. The photo was taken in the jail parking lot, but the owl was first observed tonight in my yard.)

It isn't much, @andym, but it was the best I could manage.
