found at the edge of a small riverbed at 10:50 am temperature high 70's.
Pseudacris hypochondriaca (regilla)
This was found at the Santa Rosa Plateau, in the more woodland-type area (near a body of water). It was a bright, sunny day with clear skies. The temperature was around low-mid 80s (Fahrenheit).
Frog in the Sespe wilderness. This was seen at the Willet Hot Springs in the gunk by the water. 11/11/15
Just saw him chillin on this leaf down stream.
First one I found.
Seen swimming and diving in the western part of the lake. This individual could easily move five meters laterally during an underwater excursion.

Large Sheephead much more common now that this is a marine reserve.
Last herp of the night and luckily a live shovelnose. We had an epic night with 23 herps including 20 snakes, a gecko, and 2 toads. Most of snakes were DOR but did manage some live including a really nice rosy boa.
First shovel nose of the night too bad it was DOR.
