One of the rarest plants in the Jemez Mountains, the stunning wood lily is a plant of mixed conifer woods, meadows, and sometimes pine forests. Currently there is only one known population in Los Alamos County, with at least two wiped out by wildfire. This population has dwindled to one plant, down from six a few years back.
