Description

Currently this is an undescribed species of Helianthus, only known from two small spring/riparian areas in Clark County, Nevada. A paper describing this species should be coming out this year.

This species is likely one of the rarest plant species in Nevada and may occupy the smallest range of any plant species in North America. Only known from habitat approximately the size of one acre. We found approximately 200 plants today.
