This plant is an exact match for the drawing and herbarium specimen found here: http://sernecportal.org/portal/taxa/index.php?taxon=11819 -- but I can't find out anything about it online. The labels on the herbarium label aren't even consistent. So it might be Saxifraga caespitosa ssp. caespitosa, but it might also be Saxifraga caespitosa var. lemmonii, Saxifraga caespitosa ssp. monticola, Saxifraga monticola, or even Muscaria monticola. Its leaves are very different than any other tufted saxifrage that I've seen.
