Description
green rabbitbrush, Ericameria teretifolia, California, White Mountains, Hammil Valley, Owens Valley watershed, elevation 1522 m (4995 ft).
This late-season shrub is centered in the western and northern Mojave Desert of southern California and southern Nevada, extending shortly into the adjacent desert foothills of the southwestern California mountains and the southwestern Great Basin. Warm rocky slopes comprise its favorite habitat, especially in granitic areas.
