Growing in soil among Pinus strobus needles mixed with Abies and Picea needles. Caps translucent striate when moist. Caulocystidia lageniform. Lecythiform caulocystidia entirely lacking. Pleurocystidia absent. Cheilocystidia lecythiform, smooth, hyaline and with abrupt capituli. Cheilocystidia measurements: (10.1) 14 – 17.6 (18.8) × (5.4) 6.4 – 7.6 (8.6) µm, Q = (1.9) 1.93 – 2.3 (3); N = 10, Me = 15.1 × 6.9 µm; Qe = 2.2. Capituli 2.4 – 4.8 µm wide (30 measured). Spores brown, smooth, thick-walled, with easily observable germ pores and lacking papillae. Spore measurements: (10.2) 10.9 – 12.6 (14.5) × (5.6) 6.1 – 6.9 (7) µm, Q = (1.6) 1.7 – 2 (2.1); N = 30, Me = 11.8 × 6.4 µm; Qe = 1.8
