Description
Artamus cinereus.
Another first for me. This guy was one of a pair spied on the side of the road just outside Mundubbera on the Burnett Hwy.
I stopped when I saw a flock of birds on the side of the road, hoping they were Apostlebirds, but they turned out to be common crested pigeons, however at the same location I spied Double-barred finches, a pair of Squatter Pigeons and these woodswallows.
Given an hour or so, I reckon I could have nabbed a few more species too, but with a car full of family and dogs, that wasn't going to happen.
