This is Anthosachne kingiana subsp. multiflora (Banks & Sol. ex Hook.f.) Govaerts

Increasingly an uncommon indigenous grass. The images here show the short-awned race (which is the more common). At Maungaraho Rock locally abundant under rawirinui (Kunzea robusta) forest and shrubland. Plants when fresh very distinctly glaucous coloured.
