Description

Another solo visit -- also unsuccessful -- to find a Bleeding Flower Moth found here by Clint Gibson and Don Fraser a few days ago. Unlike yesterday's route, today I also traveled east across South Road, and I traveled north (for 37 minutes) of the east-west firelane to the north, concentrating on Coastal Plain Chaffhead and (Dense?) Blazing Star (I must have searched 600 stalks of the latter). The weather at the start was sunny, 75 degrees, and breezy; by the time I left, it was sunny and hot.

I left (earlier than expected) at 1310 after the dial on my camera that sets exposure quit working. I went home and ordered a new Panasonic Lumix FZ80 -- my sixth! -- with a three-year extended warranty. It arrives next Wednesday.
