Description

23 July 2015: Observed a female Black-shouldered (Dromogomphus spinosus) on the Greenbelt Corridor at Elm Fork Park in Denton County, Texas (located between Pilot Point and Sanger). The Elm Fork Park is a good site for catching a glimpse of this large and colorful dragonfly during the late spring and summer months when it’s in flight. Elm Fork Park is administered by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).
