Description

Recorded with Pettersson M500-384 microphone and SonoBat LIVE software. Classified by SonoBat 4 software as MYTH/Myotis thysanodes/Fringed Myotis.

NOTE: The second spectrogram screenshot is a high resolution "Standard View" display of the specific call pulse identified by the red arrow in the 1st spectrogram screenshot. SonoBat states that "[t]he notion behind the Standard View feature is to allow call pulses to be viewed at a fixed time scale so the user always views calls of certain durations at a similar scale. This aids in developing the “sight picture” or “gestalt” for the appearance of different call types from different species, supporting qualitative recognition." For this observation, the duration is set at Sonobat's standard 10ms.

The number to the right of the species name at the top of the second spectrogram screenshot is the species or "call decision" score, which Sonobat defines as "a measure of how closely the current parameter set approaches the multidimensional space of a known parameter set. A value above .50 indicates a likely result."
