Corticolous on Mahoe Wao (Meliytus lanceolatus). Thallus large, c.65 mm diameter, dark upper surface, blue-grey when moist, grey-white when dry, coriaceous, smooth, lobes broadly flabellate without isidia, apices rounded, margins entire (rarely finely lobulate); lower surface densely covered white rhizines; apothecia common, up to 1.8 mm diameter, dis red-brown, proper margin pale, smooth. Seems to key to this species best but dimensions much larger than given in Galloway (1985). Voucher PdL 12624, F, (Duplicate UNITEC)
