Description

There are hundreds if not one thousand Malacothamnus, many are Davidsonii by observation, located on the old Mendenhall Fire Road from the blowout on the east side of Mendenhall Peak running along the old Mendenhall Front Face Fire road going east until it ends/intersects Mendenhall Ridge Road at Mendenhall Saddle.

I cannot map this properly since iNaturalist allows just one location.

I took hundreds of pics. Will choose just some of the large # of individuals here.

These individuals are part of a huge population of Malacothamnus Davidsonii on the top 0'-250' from the ridgeline of Mendenhall Peak, with 1000 or more individual Malacothamnus, many are Davidsonii.

There are too many to ID all of them for one person. I will be posting more locations along this peak with more photos.

This group needs more study.
