Trichiaceae (Trichia or Hemitrichia sp.?)

Growing on cedar bark and moss (Dichranium sp).

Sporothecea: Yellow when younger, turning to reddish to ocherous, globose. 0.25mm dia.

Peridium: Double, outer reddish, dehiscing on upper half along irregular yellow lines. Inner ocherous, with plate-like multifaceted texture on older ones, but not apparently dehiscing along plate lines.

Hypothallus: Dark red/purple

Stalk: Dark red/purple with deep groves, extending about 1/4 up sporothecea. 0.75mm tall.

Spores: Densely warted, with some larger raised areas. 11.2 - 13.4um.

Elaters: Free, rarely branched, 3-4 spiral bands, rare warts, enlarged flat-tipped ends with bands extending to the end or most elaters. 3.5um wide. No spines.
