Description

In a rockpool in the lower part of the intertidal zone, only one of these and about 50 Anthothoe albocincta in the pool.

Column blue-grey with darker longitudinal stripes about 10mm high and 10mm diameter. A small number of holes of the sort that Anthothoe albocincta have for shooting acontia threads when defending themselves. A definite collar around the top of the column when tentacles are extended.
A least 200 tentacles: light orangey-brown, inner whorl of tentacles have a dark inner (brown-black) surface, the same colour as the oral disc. Inside the mouth is bright orange.
