Spectacled Dormouse

Spectacled Dormouse that I rescued from a watering can that it had fallen into in my chicken run...hence the drowned rat look.

It was surprisingly vocal and made a wide array of growls and loud squeaks when approached.

Despite being widely distributed dormice are not often seen as evidenced by the low number of records here on iSpot. This is the first spectacled dormouse submitted.
