Growing in lawn near eastern cotton wood tree (Populus deltoides). Tan patches on cap with lined margin. Stipe hollow in places, or with a softer center, with no anulus present. Volva very delicate and easily separated during extraction. Spore print white. Fruiting very early for Amanitas in this area. Spores smooth and inamyloid.
