Occasional. Corticolous on the expose trunk of hikoa karamu (Coprosma chathamica).

Thallus with prominent black marginal prothallus, otherwise greenish white when fresh, areolate - cracked. Apothecia sessile, up 1 mm diameter, disc brownish, white-pruinose. Ascospores oval to ellipsoid 14-16 × 6 µm.

Identified by A.J. Marshall (12 May 2021) from field collected specimen.
