I'm uploading pics of three different individuals of this endemic Central Texas moth from this evening at a porchlight. Not to overload iNat with images of this species except for a particular reason:
I have been intrigued for a few years with the possibility of identifying and tracking individual moths of a species which may have distinctive markings. The array of white dots in the reniform spot on this species offers exactly that. A close examination of these three pics (e.g., side by side) confirms that they are three different individuals and that none of them are the same individuals which showed up on Oct. 9, 12, or 13. This can address a question of the turnover of individual moths at a porchlight from one evening to the next, and so forth.
