Bellbirds were very conspicuous in this neck of the woods - I saw only sparrows more over two days. They made many visits to the Phormium in the landscaped area of the camp. They were chasing each other about, calling often. I saw three on a plant at one time. I was woken at the crack of dawn both morning to a pretty impressive chorus that must have involved several birds at least. The birds I saw looked fat and healthy.
