Swimming Anemone (Stomphia coccinea)

Description

Reaches 8 cm across the tentacular crown. There are white marks at the base of each tentacle, which distinguishes it from Stomphia didemon. This species "swims" in response to touch by Dermasterias imbricata or Hippasteria phrygiana.
