Description

Cluster of small cup fungi (ca. 0.5-1 mm diameter) found on rotting log (Quercus sp.?), but substrate may actually be a dead moss or rotting fungus already on the log. Cluster of ascocarps (suspected ascomycota?) bright orange growing yellow towards edge, covered with some fibers which give them a corrugated appearance, connected by white hyphae which cover the substrate in a pretty fractal pattern. Some cups have a more translucent yellow/white coloration (shown in one of the pictures).
