Abundant on peat lodged between schist cobbles in ablation zone. Specimens from this site confirmed as Cladia blanchonii on the basis of nrDNA ITS sequence data, also the pycnidia are distinctly cylindrical rather than acute, a feature of this species (in New Zealand at least).
