Leaves: oppositely arranged, ¾ to 2¼ inches long, ¼ to ¾ inch wide, lance-like to more oval and oblong, toothed with rounded or bluntly pointed teeth, veiny, somewhat glossy on upper surface, soft short hairs on underside, little or no leaf stalk
Height: 12-30 inches
Flowering: June - August
Habitat: meadows, thickets, shores, marshes
