Description ²

• Flower: Purple odd shaped
• Leaves: compound, 4 to 7 leaflet pairs, branched tendril at tip, leaflets oval and rounded at both ends
• Fruit/Seed: smooth flat pod, 1-3 inches long by ¼ inch wide
• Height: 1-3 feet
• Flowering: May - July
• Habitat: dry open woods, thickets
