This project collects the plants and animals observations done during the Greentours tours to the Dolomites (Alps, North East Italy).
Please note this is absolutely not meant to be compiled only by the Greentours tour leaders, if you've been to any of our past trips please do log in and add your observations, also (or especially...) if you have pictures you can't identify: add the observation, then flag it with “ID please” and the project curators (i.e. mainly Stefano Doglio and Paul Cardy) will be notified of your “flag” and identify it (hopefully!).
Please always keep the “Geoprivacy” of the site Obscured (if in doubt on how to do it please ask the project admin by clicking on “finrod” in blue at the bottom of this “About” and then on “message” right over the froggy picture), also don't specify the exact location when naming the site (a good choice could be the name of the nearest village or just “Dolomites”), also don't write detailed descriptions in the notes on how to go there! If you have gps coordinates for the observation do use them but then again don't forget to obscure them.
Do always specify the date of the observation (it's very important for phenological research), and feel free to add information such as abundance, state of the flowering, colour variants or whatever you feel worth mentioning.
Finally, the map higlights Belluno province but observations outside it are welcome (i.e. in the Dolomiti Friulane)
