Aechmea distichantha (caraguatá, planta vaso, cardo chuza) es una bromeliácea típica del Cerrado en Brasil, nativa del norte de Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay. Es frecuentemente usada como ornamental. El ganado come la inflorescencia y la raíz.
