City Nature Challenge 2024: Kraków's Journal

Dear all,

In a few minutes, the main part of the challenge will be over. I'm really happy that we have so many nice findings and I really enjoy to spend this weekend taking photos of Krakow nature.

But there is a lot of work to do. Now, you can going to submit your observations and identify groups that you like. The deadline for submitting is 06/05/2024 at 9 am and after this time the observation will not be counted into the challenge.

Dear friends,

Another day of our wonderful challenge. We have a sunny day and I hope you have a nice time outside (with a few new observations of course).

There is still one day tomorrow to make observations and a few days to upload/identify them. Therefore, If you still have the strength and time to do some photos, it would be perfect. Compared to other cities, Krakow is in the upper half of the leaderboard with the neighbors Bratislava and České Budějovice.

Dear friends,

The second day of the City Nature Challenge is gone and we have more than 1000 uploaded observations. I'm pretty sure that you have more :) But this is okay not to upload them immediately, we will have 4 days for this after 29 April.

Dear friends,

The first day of our event passed and the result turned out to be quite interesting. We have more than 300 observations made by 17 observers. As all of us have a working day this Friday, I thank all of you for finding time to share nice photos of nature and thereby motivate other naturalists to participate.

Also, interestingly we have a rate of total observation/unique observation of only 1.7, and many interesting observations are represented by singletons. I'm excited about how the situation will be tomorrow :)
