April 25, 2015 -- New Sessiid trapped - 3:30 PM

We are running two sessiid traps. Each one is hanging on a PVC pole in the Backyard area of the SERC. A sessiid trap is designed to attract and capture moths that are specifically wasp mimics in the Family Sessiidae:

A Single specimen was trapped today -- Left Trap Pheromone: PB-SYVE lure.
This is turning out to be pretty interesting I am noticing some small wasps in the traps as well -- I will have to read up on the relationship between the wasps and the moths.
