Description

Mallard duck male:
iridescent green head, white ring around neck, grey body, brown breast, black rear, and white outer tail feathers. Beak is flat yellow bill.

This duck is typically found in/near water such as ponds and lakes throughout North America.

This particular duck was observed at a lake just outside the entry gate of the UC James San Jacinto Mountain Reserve.
