Description

I saw a small forest of these trees when I went to Annadel State Park last year in early July. These Manzanita trees were peeling back their light brown bark to reveal a beautiful dark red layer underneath which looked very cool.
These trees are native to North America and can be found in Northern California, Oregan, and Washington where there are many forsests.
