While vacationing on the island of Kauai, I observed what I believe to be a brown Anole. It was showing its orange throat just before I snapped the picture. I saw many of them around the lush vegetation around the property.

I believe this is an Egret that hangs around our koi pond at work. Probably looking for fish to eat. There are a lot of mosquito fish in there. I think the koi are way too big for it to eat.

This is not a great picture of this Indo Pacific Gecko, but I just wanted to document the observation for research purposes. The temperature at the time was 54 degrees, and the overnight temperature was around 49 degrees. I'm amazed that she wasn't somewhere warmer, like under my house. Greg, I hope this can help your research in trying to understand how this species has adapted to the climate in Torrance.
