Description
This grass is found in the higher parts of the marsh. The grass deals with excess salt in the environment by storing it in glands and then excreting the salt out through the stomates. You can see the salt crystals sparkle in the sunlight.

Description
I saw a male and female bird courting each other in the street. A car came and scared them off. I followed the male (pretty colors) and almost got hit by a moving vehicle whilst distracted.
I am pretty sure it's an oriole but I don't know what species it is. Plus, it's the first time I've ever seen one. Exciting! but I'm told that it really isn't. hahaa Photos of the bird will be up when this month ends...
