Used a tracking tunnel to document tracks. Many mice seemed to have used this tunnel or a couple many times. No individuals were actually seen only their tracks were documented. The tunnel was used very frequently, so many tracks were shown it was hard to distinguish individual tracks. Picture 2 shows a small area of the tunnel tracks.

In the 10X10 plot these ferns were at the base of one adult tree located in the left bottom corner of the plot. The ferns were adult ferns growing out of the base of the adult tree. They are very low to the ground with thick leaves that are all interconnected as shown in the picture.

Across Ellesmere Jct. Rd. from Lincoln University these birds were high in the tree tops, flying from one tree to the next. Although the noise in the area was loud they could be heard quite well. Unfortunately no pictures could be taken, because the birds were too high and too fast.

In mid afternoon the construction at Lincoln University was in full swing and the road very busy with cars constantly driving by creating a tremendous amount of noise. Within the area there were 3 species of fruit bearing plants and 4 plants in total observed. Most of the area was tall trees, which created a difficulty in counting all bird specimen. This individual was found resting on a branch and traveling throughout some shrubs.

The individuals were hardly visible or heard within the first five minutes. This could be due to the number of other species interacting within the same area. The individuals were eating the fruit off of the tree in front of the commerce building at Lincoln University. Only two fruiting species of trees were observed, and only one of each species.
